How does the rare egg spawn cycle work?

The Steal An Egg community consistently reports that rare eggs spawn on a roughly 5-minute cycle. This is a player observation, not a number published by the developer — but it has held up well enough across enough players that it is the working rule everyone farms by.

If the observation is right, rare eggs are not random luck — they are a timing problem. Know when the last rare egg appeared, and you know roughly when to be in position for the next one. In a 7-player server, being ten seconds early is the difference between carrying a rare egg home and watching someone else do it. The rare eggs mechanics page covers the spawn-racing side of this in detail.

Recommendation

Spawn log

  • No spawns logged yet.

Predictions are timing and decision estimates based on a community-observed ~5-minute cycle, not access to Roblox server RNG.

How to use the tracker

  1. Anchor the timer. The moment you see a rare egg spawn — whether you grab it or not — hit “Use current time” or set the time manually. That sighting is your anchor.
  2. Log each spawn. Every confirmed sighting makes the estimate stronger. Use “Log this spawn” to keep a running record of what you have seen.
  3. Follow the recommendation. The tracker turns the countdown into a decision (see below).
  4. Re-anchor after drift. If your anchor is more than one cycle old, the estimate may have slipped. Log the next spawn you actually see and the timer corrects itself.

What WAIT, MOVE and SKIP mean

  • WAIT — the next spawn window is close. Get to your preferred spawn area now and be ready to run. This is the “do not wander off” signal.
  • MOVE — the next window is far enough out that waiting is wasteful. Keep farming normal eggs, collect income, or rotate zones, and come back when the countdown tightens.
  • SKIP — your anchor is probably stale. Do not trust the countdown; re-log the next spawn you see before making decisions on it.

Honest limitations

Use the timer to make better decisions, not to promise outcomes. When a prediction and your eyes disagree, trust your eyes — and log the sighting so the next estimate is better.

Make the steal count

Timing gets you to the egg. Getting home with it is a Speed problem — check the speed calculator before committing to a risky steal, and the all eggs list to know what each egg is worth.
