How do eggs work in Steal An Egg?

Eggs are the entire game loop. You run into another player’s base, grab one of their eggs, and carry it all the way back to your own base — while the owner tries to stop you. Once an egg is safely home, you hatch it into a pet, and that pet starts generating money for your base.

Servers hold up to 7 players, so every egg you see is someone’s actual property — and everything sitting in your base can be stolen right back. For the full first-hour walkthrough, see the beginner guide.

Egg database verification in progress

We add an egg to this table only after confirming it in-game — rarity, zone and income range included. As of August 24, 2026 the verification pass is still running, so the table is empty on purpose. Check back soon, and use the rare egg predictor below in the meantime.

Egg rarity, zones, sizes and mutations

Progression in Steal An Egg runs along four axes:

  • Rarity — rarer eggs hatch into rarer pets that earn more money per second. Rare eggs are the ones worth fighting over, and the ones other players guard hardest.
  • Zone — eggs spawn in different areas of the map. Where an egg appears affects how far you have to carry it home, and how risky the trip is.
  • Size — pets come in different sizes. Bigger variants are part of the collection chase.
  • Mutation — mutated variants are a rarer roll on top of the base pet, and a big part of late-game collecting.

Exact rarity tiers, zone names and mutation rates are not officially published. We are verifying them in-game and will fill the table above as each entry is confirmed.

The rare egg spawn cycle

The community consistently reports that rare eggs spawn on a roughly 5-minute cycle. This is player observation, not an official figure from the developer — treat it as a strong working rule, not a guarantee.

The practical consequence: rare eggs are a timing game. If you know roughly when the last rare spawn appeared, you know roughly when to be in position for the next one. Our rare egg predictor turns that observation into a live countdown, and the rare eggs mechanics page explains spawn racing in detail.

What players are hunting right now

As of August 24, 2026, the hottest egg-related searches in the community are:

  • Crane — a trending pet players are chasing. Obtain method still being verified.
  • Cave Dragon — another breakout pet. Details being verified.
  • Sakura Incubator — a machine players are talking about. Location and boost being verified.

We flag everything that is community-reported but not yet confirmed, so you always know how solid a claim is.
